Local Minister’s License

Here is the process for obtaining approval to grant and present a local minister’s license:
The pastor should conduct a background check and then recommend the individual to the local church board for a vote to grant this local license.
The pastor should then fill out the "REQUEST FOR VERIFICATION OF CREDENTIAL HISTORY” form by following this link. Please submit the completed form by email or mail to the District Superintendent for review. The District Office will then forward the request to the office of the General Secretary of the Church of the Nazarene.
Once verification is received by the District Superintendent from the General Secretary, the pastor will be notified and can then proceed with a public presentation of the local license. A certificate for presentation can be requested here.
